Enjoy that 747. They’re not going to be around much longer.

Please do an Oppo review of the 747, thank you. Acceleration, braking, handling, exterior styling, interior styling, features etc...

Exactly what I was thinking. I’m pretty excited to fly aboard such a legendary plane on my first intercontinental flight.

A legendary bird, with a long and storied history in that gorgeous KLM livery. Have a great flight!

Is that a Combi?

There are more Citroëns in that picture than you’ll see French cars combined in the next few months. Be brave in that automotive wasteland and good luck culturing the natives.

Yes, I will do my best to convince them of the greatness of Renault, Peugeot and Citroën (and Matra ofcourse)

It’s not automotive waste land, there are plenty of hellcats here. Some imported Citroens in Toronto too.

Safe journey friend! Hope you enjoy your time here in the Great White not-quite-white-yet-as-it’s-not-yet-winter North! :P
I’ll wave to you as you pass overhead in 6 hours or so :P....even if your plan won’t be crossing right over me...

It’s a 747-400 Mixed Configuration, would that be a Combi?

How awful is that? I’ll probably immediately go to the place I rented, as I’m guessing I’ll be quite tired.

I’m counting 7 Citroën/Peugeot vans in that single picture alone. He’s not going to spot that many in your wasteland. Furthermore, I wouldn’t consider a hellcat as a sign of being cultured.
Besides, it was meant as a joke.

You don’t have to convince me! I already like Euro machines more than most of the rides we get here :(

Back in about 1961, my father sailed to Europe to study music at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. As the Cunard liner pulled into Le Havre, one of the other students cried out, “Look at all the foreign cars!”

Haha! My dad also studied music in Europe (and took a boat at least once). When I was 4 months old, all of us went to Germany so he could study under a master organist for 1.5 years.

Small world—my dad is an organist too. I don’t know who he studied with in Austria, though. I’ll have to ask him.

Add me. In fact both mom and dad. They lived in Köln for a year some time before I was born. Mom hauled me back as a toddler to visit friends.
Actually I’m a bit of an organist too but mostly I make my living as an expert organ technician.

Nice! Cool job. I did play piano for many years as a kid, but have lost most of it, sadly.
